Gato Launches gPortal: A Unified Client Portal for Modern Broker-Dealers

Our newest module brings client onboarding, document management, and real-time account visibility into a single branded portal that works seamlessly with gFlow and gView.
Gato is excited to announce the general availability of Gato gPortal, a fully branded client portal that consolidates onboarding, document management, statements, and real-time account visibility into a single experience for the end investor.
gPortal was built in response to a clear market signal: broker-dealers and fintech platforms are tired of stitching together five different vendors to deliver a coherent client experience. With gPortal, firms get a production-ready portal that can be white-labeled in hours and extended through a full REST API.
The module is designed to work seamlessly alongside Gato gFlow and Gato gView, sharing the same identity, permissions, and data layer. Clients see a single, consistent interface while operations teams keep the workflow tooling they already use.
Key capabilities at launch include digital account opening with integrated KYC/AML, secure document vaults, tax and statement delivery, funding and transfer initiation, and configurable dashboards for positions, balances, and activity.
gPortal is available now to all Gato clients. Existing gFlow and gView customers can enable it from their configuration dashboard, and our implementation team is standing by to assist with branding, SSO, and custom workflow setup.
Why a client portal is an operations decision
Client servicing volume is largely a function of what clients cannot see for themselves. When statements arrive as email attachments, transfer status is opaque, and a change of address requires a phone call, the operations team absorbs the difference as inbound contacts. The three questions that dominate that queue at most broker-dealers are the same three: where is my statement, where is my tax form, and where is my transfer.
gPortal answers those from the firm's own records rather than a synchronised copy. Positions, balances, activity, and documents come from the same data the back office works from, with entitlements deciding who sees which accounts. Advisors, entity signatories, and individual clients each get a view appropriate to their role without a separate deployment.
The supervisory side matters as much as the client side. Every self-service action a client takes is written to the same audit trail as a change keyed internally, so giving clients more control does not reduce what a supervisor can review later. Transfers initiated in the portal run through the same velocity, amount, and account-history checks gView applies to internally entered requests.
- Statements, confirms, and tax documents delivered without an email attachment.
- Transfer initiation and live status tracking through gView.
- Entitlements for advisors, signatories, and multi-account clients.
- Self-service changes recorded in the firm's audit trail.
- White-label branding under the firm's own domain, with optional SSO.
