    About gNexus

    How firms use gNexus

gNexus is the reporting and reconciliation layer: one place where trading, clearing, banking, and operational data are brought together, matched, and turned into the reports the firm actually has to produce.

The usual pattern is four exports and a spreadsheet — one from the OMS, one from the clearing firm, one from the bank, one from the back office — assembled monthly by someone who knows where the joins are. gNexus replaces that with scheduled ingestion, rule-based matching with tolerances and aging, and exception queues that show what broke and why. Regulatory, client, and management reporting then runs off reconciled data rather than a snapshot that was true at the moment the export ran.

    • Scheduled ingestion from OMS, clearing, custodian, and bank sources.
    • Rule-based matching with per-reconciliation tolerances and aging.
    • Exception queues carrying ownership, age, and resolution history.
    • Regulatory, client, and management reporting off reconciled data.
    • Runs against mixed estates, not only a single-vendor stack.

The pattern gNexus replaces is familiar: four exports and a spreadsheet, assembled monthly by the one person who knows where the joins are. It works until that person is on leave, or until a regulator asks how a number was derived.

With scheduled ingestion and rule-based matching, breaks are worked and closed with a record instead of emailed around, and recurring break patterns point back at the upstream cause. Operations, finance, compliance, and client service then read one reconciled dataset rather than four separate extracts.

    What can gNexus reconcile?

Trades and executions against clearing records, positions against custodian statements, cash movement against bank activity, and fees and commissions against billing runs — with configurable matching rules, tolerances, and aging thresholds per reconciliation.

    How are exceptions worked?

Unmatched and out-of-tolerance items land in exception queues with ownership, age, and history, so breaks are worked and closed with a record rather than emailed around.

Recurring break patterns are surfaced so the upstream cause can be fixed.

Can gNexus consume data from systems outside Gato?

Yes. It ingests files and feeds from third-party OMS platforms, clearing firms, custodians, and banks. Most implementations run against a mixed estate rather than a single-vendor stack.

    Who uses the reporting output?

Operations for daily breaks, finance for month-end, compliance for supervisory reporting, and client service for statement questions — all reading the same reconciled dataset instead of separate extracts.

What file formats and feeds can gNexus consume?

Delimited and fixed-width files, FIX drop-copies, database extracts, and API feeds from third-party OMS platforms, clearing firms, custodians, and banks. Mapping is configuration, not a code change per source.

Can we keep our existing reporting tools?

Yes. Reconciled datasets can be exposed to your own BI or reporting stack, so gNexus becomes the matched source of truth without forcing a change in how reports are presented.
