Gato Systems: Accessibility Statement

Gato Systems is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Accessibility in trading software carries specific weight. Traders, operations analysts, and compliance officers work in dense, real-time interfaces where a missed keyboard path or an unlabelled control is not a cosmetic issue, it can prevent someone from cancelling an order, clearing an exception, or filing a report on time. We therefore treat accessibility as an operational requirement across order entry, blotters, risk dashboards, and regulatory reporting screens, not only across marketing pages.

Our approach has three parts: design standards that specify contrast, focus, target size, and semantic structure before build; engineering practices that keep components keyboard operable and correctly labelled for assistive technology; and ongoing testing that combines automated audits with manual keyboard-only and screen-reader review of the highest-traffic workflows. Where a component is not yet conformant, we document the gap and provide an alternative route to the same information.

    Measures to Support Accessibility

Gato Systems takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our Site and Services, including the Gato Desktop Trader, Gato Trader Web, and the gTrader Suite:

    • Include accessibility as part of our internal design guidelines.
    • Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices.
    • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.

    Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Gato Systems is currently working toward conforming with WCAG 2.1 level AA standards.

    Accessibility FAQ

    Accessibility questions, answered

The questions below cover the standard we target, how conformance is verified, how to report a barrier, and where remediation work is still in progress.

Which accessibility standard does Gato target?

We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the marketing site, the Gato Trader Web workstation, and the gTrader Suite desktop application, covering keyboard operability, colour contrast, focus visibility, and assistive-technology labelling.

    How is accessibility tested?

Accessibility checks are part of design review and release testing: automated audits on key flows, manual keyboard-only navigation, and screen-reader spot checks on high-traffic screens such as order entry, blotters, and reporting dashboards.

What should I do if I hit an accessibility barrier?

Email support@gatosystems.com with the page or screen, the assistive technology you use, and what you expected to happen.

We aim to respond within five business days and prioritise barriers that block core trading or reporting workflows.

    Are there known limitations today?

Some dense, real-time grid views and charting components remain in remediation because they rely on virtualised rendering.

Where a barrier exists we provide an alternative path, such as exportable data or a simplified view, until the component is fully conformant.
