    About gPure

    How firms use gPure

gPure manages the corporate actions lifecycle end to end: announcement capture and scrubbing, position entitlement, voluntary election collection, deadline tracking, and posting of the resulting cash and stock.

Corporate actions are the operational area most often still run on spreadsheets, and the one where a missed deadline is immediately expensive. gPure ingests announcements from vendor and issuer sources, reconciles conflicting versions, computes entitlements against firm and client positions, drives voluntary elections through client-facing deadlines with reminder logic, and posts the outcome to the affected accounts. Mandatory events — splits, dividends, name and symbol changes, mergers, spin-offs — are processed automatically, with an audit trail for each event and each account touched.

    • Announcement capture from vendor and issuer sources with version scrubbing.
    • Entitlement calculation against firm and client positions.
    • Voluntary election collection against the firm's own response deadline.
    • Automatic processing of splits, dividends, mergers, spin-offs, and renames.
    • Reconciliation to depository and custodian records before posting.

Corporate actions remain the operational area most often run on spreadsheets, and the one where a missed deadline is immediately expensive. The cost is rarely the event itself; it is the reconstruction afterwards, when a client asks why an election was never applied and the evidence lives in an inbox.

gPure keeps event, entitlement, and election history queryable per account. Client questions and audit requests are answered from the record, including for prior periods, and discrepancies against custodian data surface before cash and stock reach client accounts rather than after.

Which event types does gPure handle?

Mandatory events such as cash and stock dividends, splits and reverse splits, symbol and name changes, mergers, and spin-offs, plus voluntary events including tenders, exchanges, rights, and elective dividends.

    How are voluntary elections collected?

Elections are collected from clients against the firm's own response deadline, not the market deadline, with reminders and a live view of who has and has not responded.

Defaults apply where the firm has defined them, and every election is timestamped.

Does gPure reconcile against the clearing firm or custodian?

Yes. Expected entitlements are reconciled against depository and custodian records so discrepancies surface before, not after, cash and stock are posted to client accounts.

How far back is event history retained?

Event, entitlement, and election history is retained and queryable per account, which is what makes client questions and audit requests answerable without reconstructing a spreadsheet from a prior period.

How many announcement sources can gPure ingest?

Multiple vendor feeds and issuer sources in parallel. Conflicting versions of the same event are reconciled and flagged for review rather than silently overwritten, which is where single-source setups usually go wrong.

Can gPure run for a firm that self-clears and one that clears through another broker?

Yes. Entitlements are computed from your own position records and reconciled against whichever depository or clearing relationship applies, so both models are supported without a separate deployment.
